Our Story
With over 40 years of audio engineering experience, I personally witnessed the demise of tube audio, analog recordings, and the DIY kit companies. For a long-time, high-fidelity hobbyists have had no options for new equipment.
For years, I had been thinking about ideas for new tube audio equipment, but it never made sense to pursue new designs. With the recent resurgence of interest in analog audio it seemed like a good time to dust off the old technology and create a line of tube audio equipment.
The first product is called the EconoBlock 1, an EL84 based Class-A monoblock which has been described as having exceptionally clear sound while retaining the warmth of tube audio.

Daystrom Audio exists to bring you quality audio equipment that you can build yourself and be proud to have in your home. In addition to an illustrated step-by-step builder’s manual, we also have videos to help you. We understand that some of our customers may not have strong technical skills, so we have free technical support if you run into problems. We also offer a factory repair option if you can’t make your equipment work and need professional help.
